A roman blind is fabric that folds into horizontal pleats as it lifts, so you get the softness of a curtain with the neat fit of a blind. Closed, it sits flat against the window; open, the folds stack at the top of the reveal.
It suits rooms where a plain roller looks too hard against the window: living rooms with a lot of upholstery, bedrooms with generous curtains elsewhere, older homes with tall joinery. The fabric carries the look, so we bring samples and open them against the light in your own room.
