A roller blind is one sheet of fabric on a tube, and the fabric is the whole decision. The same system that keeps a bedroom dark at 6am in summer can, with a different cloth, cut the glare off a west-facing lounge while keeping the view.
That is why we bring the fabric to the measure rather than emailing a colour chart. Openness, weight and colour all change how a room feels, and the difference between two fabrics that look similar on a sample card is obvious once the afternoon sun is on them.

Not really, and pretending otherwise leads to disappointment. On a west-facing lounge the usual answer is a sunscreen roller for the day, with a blockout blind or curtain behind it for the evening.
Inside the window or over the top?
Inside the reveal looks neater and sits closer to the glass. Over the face covers more of the light spill and suits windows with no depth. We check the reveal on the measure and tell you which will work.
Do roller blinds work on very wide sliders?
Yes, usually as two or three blinds on one headbox rather than one enormous roller, which sags and is heavy to operate.
