Plantation shutters are the most permanent thing you can put on a window. A frame is fixed to the window and louvred panels hang in it: you tilt the louvres for light, and swing whole panels open when you want the glass clear.
That is why they suit the rooms that get used all day, and why they hold their value. They also need a proper measure, because every panel is made to the millimetre for that opening. There is no trimming a shutter down on site.
Shutters in Karaka
